“Attending this retreat was nothing short of a spiritual blessing.

From the moment I arrived, I felt a profound sense of peace and community. The retreat was full of surprises and moments that took me by surprise in the best way. Each day offered not only bites of truth but also times of deep self-reflection that challenged me in all the right ways.

Mike and Kelsey created the perfect environment and found the most serene location to rest, seek knowledge, and escape the chaos of everyday life. Their guidance was both wise and compassionate.

The scrumptious meals were made with lots of love that I couldn't get enough of. The setting was beautiful and serene, providing a peaceful backdrop for reflection and prayer. It was a place where I could disconnect from the distractions of life and tune into what really matters.

I left each day feeling spiritually rejuvenated and inspired, with a deeper connection to my faith and a renewed sense of purpose.

I made lasting friendships with like-minded individuals and found myself surrounded by a supportive community. This retreat was an invaluable experience that encouraged me to grow, both spiritually and personally. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to deepen their relationship with God, find rest, and gain clarity in the midst of life’s chaos.”

-Kathy, 2024 Retreat Attendee

“This retreat was literally life changing for me. The peace and serenity at the retreat, along with Biblical discussions through the day (and amazinggggggg food) helped me identify a toxic situation in my life. God spoke very clearly to me, and I was able to listen without distraction. God has been pouring out His blessings in my life and I’m the happiest I’ve ever been.”

-Lea, 2024 Retreat Attendee

2025 Retreat Theme

The pace of life often feels so fast. There’s something about waiting that offends our sensibilities. Time is a precious, limited resource. We talk about time like money, using terms like “spending,” “saving,” even “investing” our time. Waiting feels like wasting it. And yet, we find over thirty passages throughout the Bible encouraging people to “wait on the Lord.”

But waiting on God feels so slow. If He operated on our timeline, we feel like we would get so much more done. We grow impatient, and disillusioned, and start to question if God even cares, if He’s even there at all.

If we are able to slow our race to match God’s pace, we can thrive in the space it creates, and experience greater growth and blessing.

In this retreat, we will study the call of Joshua to lead the Israelites to the Promised Land. We will recognize when God takes longer than we want, it is actually for our good. We might just discover that the goal isn’t the goal, the process is the goal. And - spoiler - it’s God who is with us the entire time.

What to Expect

Sometimes the next best “yes” isn’t a “yes” to do anything. But instead to sit, rest, and abide in the presence of God and simply listen to His voice.

That is what the Next Best Yes Retreat is for.

This exclusive two-night retreat gives you space from the everyday bustle of life to allow you to gain God’s perspective on your priorities and next steps.

But we don’t leave it there. We’ll equip you with tools, strategies and resources to continue saying “yes” long after the retreat.

Rest

With plenty of green space to pray, reflect, and relax, you can be sure these days away will allow you to rest far and away from the everyday bustle of life.

Your Hosts

We are Mike and Kelsey Domeny. We have spent decades speaking at, performing in, and curating experiences for people to enjoy.

We have been coaching private clients who want to put action to their faith since we founded The Grove in 2022.

Recently, we’ve been talking to too many people who want to hear from God, want to follow what He says, but are exhausted by the everyday stressors of life.

We have dedicated ourselves to helping others say “yes” to God even when it doesn’t make sense. But it’s hard to say “yes” when you can’t hear Him and aren’t sure where He’s leading you.

We live our lives holding to the truth in Matthew 6:33. We haven’t lived it perfectly. There have been years and seasons drenched in worry, stress, depression, and anxiety. But by God’s grace, we have also experienced decades of joy, peace, love, hope, and purpose. Which is how we can confidently tell you that when you DO align every area of your life to seeking first the Kingdom and living righteously, you really can be free of the worries of life.

That’s what we want for you. To intimately KNOW and BE KNOWN by God so you can live the life He has created you for.

Movement with MB Gallagher

Megan, or“MB,” was with us for one session at our first Next Best Yes Retreat and we were all turned into relaxed piles of goo. We’re so excited she’ll be joining us for the entire retreat this year! We will set our pace together each morning with intentional stretch and movement guided by MB, a licensed massage therapist as well as a functional range conditioning mobility specialist. Official titles for someone who, simply put, has the knowledge & tools to help you move better!

In addition, MB is opening limited time slots for 1-1 private massage or assisted stretch during our free time! While a private session with MB is an additional cost, she is worth EVERY penny. And we can’t think of a better way to slow your pace than to have her healing hands serve your aching muscles for an hour.

Worship led by…

Live worship music is a must for this retreat.

We are praying about who will lead worship for us this year. For our first retreat, God orchestrated our worship and communion night to perfection, so we’re relying on the Holy Spirit to bring the right person into this space. We’ll update when we have a confirmed musical artist!
